Petohleb, Amilia Albina (nee Sirotich)
Born February 9, 1932 , died March 20, 2015 , in her 83rd year. Beloved mother of Darinka Packer (Jeffrey), Doriana Petohleb an Delio Petohleb (Stephanie Cino); dearest grandmother of Amanda and Julia Packer and William Petohleb. Predeceased by her husband Desiderio Zeljko Petohleb, brothers Johan, Milan, Emilio, Ivan, Anthony, Frane, Peter, Mario and Lino Sirotich and sister Maria Sirotich. Came to Canada in 1962 from Croatia. Worked at Queen Elizabeth and St. Joseph’s Hospitals in Toronto. In her retirement looked after 3 grandchildren. She was a parishioner of both St. Padre Pio Roman Catholic Church in Vaughan and St. Basil’s Roman Catholic Church in Toronto. Amilia lived her life with courage and compassion and left this legacy to her children and all who met her. We love you. The family would like to express appreciation to the palliative care staff and Dr. Maida. At Etobicoke General William Osler Hospital. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905 850-3332) on Saturday March 21, from 7-9pm, and Sunday March 22 from 2 – 5 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday March 23, 2015 at 9:00am at St. Padre Pio Roman Catholic Church (5500 Major Mackenzie Dr, Kleinburg). Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery (7300 Hwy 27).
